Home from Florida and the same day picked up by the squad and we headed to the MLS Sporting KC Game!  It is always so good to see them!

 

Below is a breakdown of my 10 days at home!!!!  Filled with friends, painting, a trip to the ER, an eye patch and lots and lots of laughs!!!

 

Home on Sunday morning from FL after being delayed a day and picked up by the squad to go to the soccer game!!!! 

 

And all good ideas come from an afternoon at Bar Louie!  Cashman has been needing some stuff done around here house....Lulu and I loaded up the Jeep with tools, a house warming present of a grill, paint that we picked out with some guidance and headed to Cashman's!  We got A LOT done around the house and then of course had some pool time!

Darthy joined us later in the day, this is what Cashman came home too!  Just a good ole' back yard pool party!

 

My good buddy Karla came into town and I got to see her on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday...we got to hang with the Squad for one night and had a blast together!

On Friday Darthy had her nieces and nephews so we did the good Aunt assist and went with her to help with the 4 of them...we were really helping as we caught some sun!

 



Well...the pool when great...however it resulted in a trip to the ER!  My face might have hit the water a bit hard after I was trying out for the Olympics from the high dive!  Thank Loudean for supervising! 

 

Just a bit of swelling and bruising!!  Thank god I have recovered nicely and all is back to normal!

This picture was really funny when I sent it to one of my bosses on Thursday before I went to the pool!  As she had an infection in her eye I was telling her that Snap Chat had a current eye patch fliter....she says it was Karma as to why I face planted into the water!

 



The following Friday after my face healed up I got to see my long time BFF Jessica and  her beautiful family and her sister and new baby.  We determined that it had been 2 years since we saw each other last and I couldn't believe that we picked right up from where we left off.  I love this chick to pieces and her adorable family!

 



When you break your face and your friend sends you a card with the suns all having eye patches....Cole knows me all to well!

 

When you have a craving for a DQ dipped cone and you know your ride or die partner in crime will of course go with you!!!

4th of July Spectacular!!!! Panama City Beach FL!

Work in Florida on the beach and over the 4th of July....of course...sign me up!  This trip was my first Fairfield hotel opening and I was SOOOO excited....Fairfield is where I started my Marriott career and is my first love of all our 19 brands!  It also was awesome because I got to train a new guy who is joining our team as a task force trainer, it was nice to be in FL and have someone to share the beauty with!  Jeff was an awesome partner in crime for the week and we had a great time training an amazing staff.  They are currently ranked 4th out of 890 Fairfield Inn and Suites, they were an amazing team that we had such a great week with!  We also got some time with my boss Joe, as he drove over from Orlando, it was good to see him and I got some great feedback about my training week.  It was a great week and one of the best opening nights have seen (until Canada, more on that later) they had 35 walk in reservations on opening night, it was busy around the hotel.  Joe's family joined us later on opening day and I got to meet sweet baby James, he is so adorable and still has that  new baby smell!  Travel home was interesting as I drove to Ft. Walton Beach about an hour away to catch a cheaper flight and it ended up getting canceled so I stayed at a Marriott in Ft. Walton, went to Ross to buy a travel outfit home and traveled the next day with my life in a laundry bag!  Life of a travel chick!!!

The first day we made it to FL...after training we were determined to make it to see the water!

Beautiful water!!!!  We saw a bit of the green algae, but it wasn't that bad! 

4th of July on the beach!  Not as many people as we thought, but more and more kept showing up.  Such a good time and such fun people! 

4ht of July on the beach....after a full day of training we grabbed a throw away cooler, some snacks and watched the beach fireworks.  It was magical!!!!

Sweet Baby James!!!  He was so adorable!!!  Just snoozing away...then he started to get restless and I gave him back to his Dad!

 

Made it to Ft. Walton Beach, sitting on the patio of the TownePlace Suites!

 

Traveling home the next day with my life in a TownePlace Suites laundry bag!!!  And my shorts, shirt and shoes from Ross!!!

Smell that country side....Cedar Rapids IA

 

Cedar Rapids IA provided open road as I drove from Kansas City to there.....it was a great ride with the windows down and tunes up!  Then I arrived to the adorable face of one Doug!  We had a great week training with a great staff and even got to see the famous Susan S. whom drove over for our kick off day!  The team was super excited to open their amazing hotel and welcome the first guest.  It was a sad day when I had to leave the parking lot and hit the open road back home.

I arrived at the hotel to Friend-aversary flowers from my BFF Loudean!  It made my room for the week I was at the hotel!
